Your home and Lightning

If your home is ever hit by a lightning strike, it could do some damage to not only your electrical system but to your electronic devices as well. However if your home is protected with a lightning protection system, you could avoid this risk.

Air terminals, also known as lightning rods are a great way to protect your home from lightning strikes. These are placed at the most highest point of your home.

Another way to protect your home is called grounding systems. These are cooper stakes that are placed into the ground.

There are also varistor surge protectors that can be installed, via your electrical service.

These are just some ideas to help you if you decide to protect your home against lightning strikes.
